About Us

St. Paul’s is a parish of the Diocese of Washington within the Episcopal Church, which is itself a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion. The Episcopal Church considers itself “Protestant, yet Catholic”: standing squarely in the Reformed tradition, yet just as directly descended from the early Church as the Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox churches and, with them, part of the “one, holy, catholic and apostolic church.” All Anglican churches are united through their relationship and communion with the see of Canterbury, England, with the Archbishop of Canterbury serving as spiritual head.

The best way to get to know our parish is to visit us in person, and we hope you will join us in our worship and mission! All visitors are invited to sign our guest register at the rear of the church and fill out a yellow visitor card so that we can contact you with more information.
