St. Paul's offers Christian formation to our youngest parishioners from age 3 through 12th grade. If you have questions about Christian formation for children and youth at St. Paul's, please contact Fr. Nathan Humphrey at humphrey@stpauls-kst.com.
Ages 3 to Grade 5 (Catechesis of the Good Shepherd). Using a Montessori approach to spiritual development and growth for young people, children can grow in their relationship with God through a deep engagement in scripture and liturgy. This program lays the foundation for a life grounded in an awareness of God’s love. Our primary beliefs are that God and the child have a unique relationship with one another and that the growth of this relationship should be assisted by the adult but is directed by the Spirit of God within the child. We meet every Sunday during the school year. For more information, contact
the CGS team at cgs@stpauls-kst.com.
Grades 6 to 8 (Journey through Scripture, JTS). This group follows the same liturgical themes found in the Sunday Mass, concentrating on the day's scripture readings. The group meets after the 9:00 a.m. Mass every Sunday in the classroom in the Undercroft Youth Room.
High School (Ponticus). The goal of this group is to increase knowledge and love of Christ through shared experiences and learning as well as prepare for Confirmation. Past classes have focused upon an overview of Christian faith and church history, and have looked at contemporary issues from a Christian perspective. Ponticus meets at 10:15 a.m. every Sunday in the Undercroft Youth Room.
All children and youth formation groups meet from September through Pentecost.
