Worship at St. Paul’s
Daily worship is at the heart of this parish church. Our ministries, our fellowship with one another, our hospitality to newcomers and visitors, our work to spread the Gospel by word and example, our outreach to the poor in our community, and our learning and formation as Christians all flow from the daily worship of God together. Whether we gather for a formal high Mass sung by our extraordinary choir, or for the simple daily recitation of Morning or Evening Prayer in our small chapel, or for silent contemplative prayer together, the rhythm of daily worship underpins everything we do. We invite you to worship with us and find out what makes us who we are. Click here to view this week’s schedule of worship.

Services at St. Paul’s
The Holy Eucharist, also called the Mass, is central to the rhythm of worship at St. Paul’s. Mass is celebrated fourteen times every week: three times on Sundays, twice on weekdays, and once every Saturday. At the Mass we hear God’s Word proclaimed in Holy Scripture and participate in the sacrament of the Lord’s body and blood, present in bread and wine.
Shrine of Our Lady of WalsinghamMorning and Evening Prayer also are offered daily at St. Paul’s. These services include prayers, readings from the Psalms and the Holy Scriptures, one or more canticles, and the Lord’s Prayer. These services are rooted in the monastic cycle of daily prayer that developed in the 4th century, and received their modern form from Archbishop Thomas Cranmer (1489-1556). Cranmer reduced the eight monastic offices to the two services of Morning and Evening Prayer, whcih were printed in vernacular English and intended for use by all members of the church.
Each day before Evening Prayer, the parish offers prayers at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham. We pray many intercessions that have been requested from far and near. Many of these requests are for healing of mind, body, and spirit, and thanksgivings for prayers answered.
Every Sunday through Friday, the Benedictine Companions of St. Paul offer Compline, the last of the eight monastic offices, which begins the Great Silence that lasts until Morning Prayer the next day. All are welcome to join the monastic community in this brief, contemplative prayer service, or in daily silent prayer preceding Morning and Evening Prayer.
Finally, Solemn Evensong and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament is offered each Sunday at 6:00 p.m. by the Choir of Men and Boys. One of the great treasures of the Anglican tradition, the service features psalms, hymns, choral music, and lessons. Its primary purpose is an act of praise to almighty God that proclaims His wonderful work in history and in the life and death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
